Train Ride { 05.17.14 }

In celebration of the May two four long weekend here in Canada, I took a quick (which turned out to be rather long) train ride to Montreal. Apart from the French, I actually am quite fond of Montreal. The city itself is truly beautiful and I wished I could fluently speak French. Mostly everyone here can understand English though so it isn't too, too bad. Anyways, I took a few quick photos while I was on the train, and when I got off. It's still raining here, but hopefully it starts to clear up. Expect another post soon!

The Secret to Spring

As we are all losing the puffy winter coats, and thanking the heavens the snow has finally melted away, we are feeling the sudden pressure known as: Spring. Maybe it's because of the new flowers that have made an appearance around us, or the exams we must soon endure, something about Spring just makes you feel pressured. Pressured to improve your life, clean your closet, pass all your courses, you get the just of it. It's almost as bad as New Years revolutions.

It doesn't have to be this bad though, there are a few tips that have been passed down from my mother to me, and a few things I've picked up along the way. Just keep this in mind; once you clean your closet, you have so much more room for those dresses, shorts, and shirts you have been eyeing online.

Tip #1
Give yourself motivation! Why do you want to clean that closet? To be able to fit in all those new clothes you want, of course! Take a look at some of the few things I hope will make an appearance in my own closet.

If that doesn't make you want to go tearing through that mess of a closet, I don't know what will.

Tip #2
Don't be afraid to ask for help. Whether it's from a family member or a friend. We all know how difficult spring cleaning is, and how much we all dread it. Turn it into a fun time. Play some music, sing some loud tunes, and dance around. Just make sure you're actually cleaning!

Tip #3
If you're starting to stress about your exams like I am, this tip is for you. Give yourself a day, one day, to completely just study. Whether that be a week before your exam, or two days before it. Just sit down and tune out the entire world. Lock that phone up for a couple hours, I promise it will still be there when your done stuffing your brain with historic facts. This will all pay off though when you get your exam back.

Tip #4
Last tip, even though Spring is the blossoming of everything new and great, don't feel pressured to completely change yourself. You don't need to alter your personality and look, just because the days are longer and hotter. You are still you, and if you want to change your view on life, or get a new wardrobe, go for it! But, if you don't want to, don't! It's perfectly okay to be the same you, that sat in front of the fireplace trying to stay warm for months. Just embrace who you are, you don't need to be cleaned out.

Hopefully these tips helped you to get a hand of the new season that is upon us. Spring doesn't need to make you all hot and bothered, that's what summer is for.

The Blossoming of a New Blog

It's spring time - finally, I thought that our horrid Canadian winter would never end - and so why not start a new blog, full of ideas that have blossomed in my mind. I figured, what better way to share these ideas then on the internet of all places, on a nice little blog of my own. And thus, Spiritual Daisy was created, on a Friday - which was suppose to be a lot hotter than it actually was, let me just say.

I guess I should introduce myself a little bit; I'm Sierra. I'm pretty normal, there isn't anything about me that's so utterly strange that people point at me while I walk by, and there isn't anything normal about me either I would say. I'm loud, a little too blunt, and I don't do well in big groups. I could ramble on about myself if you wanted, but I figure you'll learn more about me on this journey.

Anyways, stop reading this and start that spring cleaning you said you would do last weekend - your closet won't clean itself, as much as we all wish it could.
